Community-Based Volunteer Anti-Crime Programs

Since the 1970s, we’ve always focused on improving communities in and around San Diego, California. As local crime prevention watchdogs, San Diego Neighborhood Watch continually strives to make living and working safe and secure for everyone.

We promote programs encouraging the active participation of residents. By working in tandem with law enforcement, we take steps to reduce crime, solve problems, and improve the quality of life in these areas.

Teamwork Is Essential

Community work is highly collaborative. Volunteers get to meet, know, and work with neighbors and fellow community members. In the process, everyone learns various ways of increasing safety and security at home and within communities.

The San Diego Neighborhood Watch is also supported by the County Sheriff’s Department, Law Enforcement, First Responders, Community Organization, and the San Diego City Council.

Build Community Safety and Security Networks

If you do not yet have a neighborhood watch program going on in your area or a volunteer community crime prevention coordinator in your area, contact the San Diego Police Department’s Community Relations Officer.

We’re eager to provide you with the know-how and guidance to set up your neighborhood watch program. Once established, we’d love to have it included in the San Diego crime prevention, safety, and security network.
